Storybook Gardens

Do you like to read? Did you ever wonder what it would be like to actually be INSIDE your favorite story? Well then, step inside the Storybook Gardens!

THE THREE LITTLE PIGS:
Welcome to Swineville where pigs live in houses and tend their gardens.  It didn't take much for the wolf to huff and puff and blow the straw house down. For a wolf with a little practice, the second little pig's stick house blew down easily too! Now blowing down that brick house is going to be hard. If you huff and puff, can you blow it down? I bet not by the hair on your chinny chin chin.

A GIANT'S GARDEN:
FE-FI-FO-FUM.....If you planted magical beans and they grew so tall that they broke through the clouds, then you would enter the Giant's Garden from the story, Jack and the Beanstalk. Up there, it's a wacky world because in a giant's garden, EVERYTHING is gigantic. Imagine that big old giant sitting in his oversized chair, potting plants and counting all of his gold.

A SECRET GARDEN:
A walled, English style garden is the setting for A Secret Garden, the story of a little girl's wish for a small patch of earth to build a garden. Do you remember the magic that unfolds when she begins to take care of The Secret Garden? Canyou find the hidden gate?

THE FROG PRINCE:
This garden is actually a "frog grotto" and depicts the frog prince. Remember, it's the story about a frog that promises to find a princess' gold ball. For this favor, the princess has to promise to love the frog. Reluctant at first, the princess keeps her promise and the frog turns into a handsome prince. This garden might be hard to find, but don't give up, the "puffed-up frog prince" sculpture by Gary Price is worth looking for.

ALICE IN WONDERLAND GARDEN:
Now this is a topsy, turvy garden scene from the story, Alice in Wonderland. Take a picture in the Queen of Heart’s chair. Slide in through the rabbit hole. Can you find the Cheshire cat?
